An introductory conference of the Water Center project took place on November 4, 2021 in the premises of the National Technical Library in Prague. The main goal of the event was to acquaint cooperating entities, state administration, self-government and the professional public with information about the existence of the project, its focus, management, schedule and planned outputs. The conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of the Environment.
The preparatory team planned to hold the conference earlier this year. Unfortunately, the reason for postponing the event was hygienic conditions. However, the later conference made it possible to include the first research results in the lectures.
In the first block, the lectures were devoted to the Water Center as a whole, its description and management, its inclusion in the program of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic entitled Environment for Life, the role of the Ministry of the Environment as a professional project guarantor. In the next part, the contents of individual work packages and their professional focus were presented. Attention was also paid to the Centre's forthcoming foreign cooperation in the TAP Action program. Despite the deteriorating epidemiological situation, about 50 guests participated in the so-called "hybrid" form, ie conference participants were allowed to visit the conference in person or remotely via online transmission, subject to hygienic conditions. You can find individual presentations (czech version) under this article.
